( 1 ) Let B weighs x kg. 2x + 3 = 47 2x = 44 x = 22 So B weighs 22 kg. ( 2 ) Let the total distance of the journey be x km. 15% x + 33% x + 260 = x 0.52x = 260 x = 500 So the total distance of the whole journey is 500km. ( 3 ) The total distance of the whole journey = 1140 x 2 = 2280 km The flying time : 2280 / 950 = 2.4 h
